Agripro – Syngenta
SY – Valda
Excellent Yield and Agronomics. Top end yield potential and high test weight in medium maturity variety. Semi-dwarf height with very good straw strength. Very good disease package including stem and leaf rusts, tan spot, and FHB tolerance.
SY – Ingmar
Top choice for economic return. Maximize economic return with both very high protein and high yield potential in a broadly adapted medium maturity semi-dwarf variety. Very good disease package including strong Fusarium head blight plus rust and leaf spot tolerance for top performance.
WB-Mayville offers excellent yield potential and is adaptable further west in the Northern region. It offers an improved disease package with excellent tolerance to Stem Rust. This variety is best suited for high yield production systems with good moisture availability, and responds well to early planting.
WB9653, a new Hard Red Spring wheat, is known for its strong disease package, offering excellent resistance to Leaf Rust and very good resistance to Yellow (Stripe) Rust and Fusarium Head Blight (Scab). This variety also provides excellent yield potential, standability and test weight.
WB9479 is a medium-maturing Hard Red Spring wheat variety with high yield and protein potential for the Northern Region. Excellent test weight and standability and a good disease resistance package are all combined in this medium-short variety. Management for Fusarium Head Blight recommended.
WB9479 is a medium-maturing Hard Red Spring wheat variety with high yield and protein potential for the Northern Region. Excellent test weight and standability and a good disease resistance package are all combined in this medium-short variety. Can be planted at high populations but requires management for Fusarium Head Blight.

Pull the Trigger on Higher Yields. Exceptional yield potential. Stable yield over a broad geography. Excellent resistance to bacterial leaf streak. LCS Trigger started out as a new release targeted for South Dakota, but superior yield performance across the whole of the Northern Plains has extended its area of adaptation considerably this year. It is quickly becoming the variety to beat in the highest yield class for hard red spring wheat.
Very high yields. Good milling and baking characteristics. Moderately resistant to scab. Good protection against stem and leaf rust. Best adapted to eastern and central North Dakota.
Linkert is one of the highest quality HRSW currently available. Linkert’s grain yield is comparable to other high protein varieties, but offers greater straw strength and better disease resistances. Linkert is resistant to pre-harvest sprouting .
Shelly is a high-yielding spring wheat variety well suited for much of the spring wheat-growing region. In state trials it yielded equal to “Faller” and “Prosper,” but with slightly better protein. It possesses a good disease-resistance package with moderate resistance to scab, leaf rust and bacterial leaf streak. It has good test weight and pre-harvest sprouting resistance.
‘Joppa’ is a very high yielding durum variety with excellent agronomic traits. From 2008-2014 ‘Joppa’s mean yield was the highest across North Dakota at 64.0 bushels/acre, Pasta quality characteristics of ‘Joppa’ include very high dough and gluten strength, high gluten index, and outstanding color. ‘Joppa’ has medium straw strength and a good disease resistance package including scab (FHB) resistance similar to other NDSU varieties.
